William J. Shryer, DCSW, LCSW

Mr. Shryer earned his BA degree in Sociology at California State University in Hayward.  He received his MSW from the University of California at Berkeley specializing in Children and Families.  Mr. Shryer has been in private practice since 1981 specializing in Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Mood Disorders, and the Anxiety Spectrum in children, adults and their families.  Mr. Shryer has lectured frequently to college classes and professionals in the areas of ADD and Autistic Spectrum disorders and their implications in the educational setting.  He has been active in a number of CHADD chapters.  Mr. Shryer manages three behavioral clinics with a staff of MD's, Counselors, Clinical Psychologists, and Special Education teachers.  He has been the moderator on CCTV, (Contra Costa Television) for both "Mental Health Perspectives", and "With the Family in Mind" which discussed topics such as Asperger's Disorder, Autism, Bipolar disorder and Attention Deficit Disorder in children and adults.

Carl E. Drake Jr, MD, Ph.D

Dr. Drake is a Consulting Psychiatrist at DBH in Danville.  He graduated from medical school in 1965, and interned at Mt. Zion Hospital in San Francisco.  Dr. Drake trained in psychiatry at Langley Porter Institute at UCSF and became a psychiatrist in 1969, and Board Certified in 1971.  Over the years, Dr. Drake has implemented and directed mental health programs.  He has conducted forensic psychiatry, hypnosis, and individual, family, and group therapy.  He specializes in psychopharmacology, particularly in adolescents and adults with Asperger's and co-occuring conditions such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and ADD/ADHD.  Dr. Drake has over 35 years' experience in psychiatry.

Ronel L. Lewis, MD

 Dr. Lewis is a Consulting Psychiatrist at DBH  in Danville.  He graduated from medical school in 1967.  He interned at Tripler Army Medical Center in 1967-68, trained in adult psychiatry at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 1968-70, and trained in child and adolescent psychiatry at UCSF/Langley Porter.  Dr. Lewis is Board Certified in both adult (1974) and child/adolescent (1975) psychiatry.  Dr. Lewis spent 20 years in the U.S. Army, the majority of that time as director of the Child Psychiatry Service at Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco.  He recently retired from the Department of Public Health of the City and County of San Francisco, where he served for 19 years in the Juvenile Justice System.  He is an Associate Clinical Professor at UCSF Dept. of Psychiatry, and maintains a part-time private practice in San Francisco.  Dr. Lewis has expertise in the psychotherapeutic and psychopharmacologic management of many childhood and adolescent psychiatric conditions.

  Rochelle I. Frank, PhD

  Dr. Frank received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Syracuse University, and completed her clinical training at the Yale Psychiatric Institute in New Haven, Connecticut.  Prior to coming to California in 1996, she was the Supervising Psychologist for a 39-bed child and adolescent inpatient unit within the New York State Department of Mental Health.  Dr. Frank was the Chief Psychologist for Seneca Center's adolescent residential treatment program in San Francisco, and from 1998-2006 she served with the San Francisco Department of Public Health as the Clinical Director of the Family Mosaic Project, which provides intensive care management, mental health and wraparound services to high-risk families.  Dr. Frank has served on numerous policy and programming committees within San Francisco's Community Behavioral Health Services, has been on the faculty of the Wright Institute and Alliant University, and currently is an Adjunct Professor of Clinical Psychology at Argosy University, San Francisco Bay Area Campus.  She has over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and their families.

I was born and raised in a small rural town in Minnesota. In 1999, I received my undergraduate degree in Child Psychology from the University of Minnesota.  I continued on to graduate school at Northern Arizona University, where I received my masters degree in School Psychology in 2001. I went on to complete a full year internship in the San Diego Unified School District for the 2001-02 school year and was subsequently hired on as a credentialed school psychologist for the 2002-03 school year. I then re-located to the bay area and have been employed within the Pleasanton Unified School District for the past 3 years (2003-current).

Sue graduated from California State University Hayward with her BS in Child Development.  She received her teaching credential from California College of Arts and Crafts and then received her Special Education Credential from University of California at Berkeley.  She has owned and operated Professional Billing Service since 1972.  Sue is one of the first contacts for most of our patients and works with the managed care and insurance companies for Diablo Behavioral HealthCare.
